My girl...

posted on: 12.17.2008

This is why I love having a daughter...
Yesterday I was rearranging some furniture in our house to accomodate for people to come over. I moved our table against the window (which it's usually not). I also changed the display on a table a bit. Instead of having my usual bowl with pine bows and pinecones I borrowed a large glass vase from my mom and filled it with ornaments, and set it in the middle of some pine bows. You know how it goes- people come over and you have to spruce things up a bit.
Anyway... Tate woke up from her nap and came out to see the room had been changed. She walked over to the table and peered up. Noticing that I had changed the centerpiece she then said, " Oh, Cute"!
She is definitely my girl.

  2. She IS your girl. That's awesome. Reminds me of the time I was decorating for something and kept asking Tess how it looked. Her response every time..."Brilliant."

  3. What a cutie pie! She's learning young (a big plus)! By the way, I couldn't believe what I was reading from your last post. I haven't heard much about no homemade toys. Anyway, I sent that email to lots of people, hope it doesn't pass. Oh ya, I'd love your dentists name.

  10. so cute she almost makes me want one...a child that is...i said almost. yes, you were right, i am working VERY part time at anthropologie. it's fun so far, just hope they keep me around for a bit. i didn't know you used to work there, but i imagine they would be thrilled to have you back. the discount does pretty much rock. i have been taking full advantage, verging on abuse. fun, fun.

ps: another plus on holding off on the Christmas cards this year: earth friendly. i promise i am not a total hippie, mostly just a yuppy wishing i were more of a hippie.

  12. Aren't little girls the best! I got back from a hair appointment the other day and Will didn't notice and Eliza looked at me and said "cute hair mom it's new" funny how a 3 yr old will notice something the husband doesn't.
