a trip down memory lane...

posted on: 7.14.2008

For lack of nothing better to post, and because I love reading things that are all about me, I thought this "memory lane" tag will be loads of fun! (totally kidding about the second part:) 1. Add a comment on this post. Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. I'm actually really excited to read them and I'm sure it'll get me laughing! Please be nice:)

  1. so my favorite memory of you, without a doubt, is when we talked you into coming to the scary movie “the grudge”. let’s just say that we all walked out exhausted after laughing so hard at your screaming (the bloody mary kind and often on parts from the preview so we all knew what was coming), sweating, laughing, crying, etc. it will probably always be one of the better movie experiences i’ve ever had... thanks again for coming and making it such an enjoyable evening for the entire theater!

  2. Okay, so one of the MANY memories I have had with you is when we went to the San Juan Islands by Seattle and we kept trying to meet guys, and we met up with some random dudes and hung out on their yacht with them and they were talking about all the drinking they do and how they made some mix of all these different nasty drinks and we totally pretended we knew what they were talking about and told them that we drink too. We were like 12 years old. First of all, I was lying when I said I was a drinker at the age of 12 and I assume you were lying too. Second of all, what the crap were we doing on some random dudes yacht when we were 12 years old!!! I am so glad we didn't get raped or something!

  3. Chels!! I've been trying to think for the last 24 hours what my favorite memory is with you and I simply can't pin point my favorite. I do wish I were present for the grudge movie though. I've heard it was the best. I keep thinking of all the nice dinners we go to..like when we went to cucina toscana for my birthday and then saw that slutty movie, the other boleyn girl. I specifically remember that was the first time I saw a preview for made of honor. We both know how much I love Patrick Dempsey. When we all went to the ballet. Just good quality girls nights would probably be my favorite memories with you. Sorry I can't be more specific!! That would be so great if you talked to Cassi about what I should do here! And I cut my hair in between the honeymoon and Boston. I'm glad you like it because I can't decide! Anyways, after this essay...I miss you guys! I'll see you soon! Love you

  4. Ok so I was not there to witness...but boy oh boy I wish I was. I love it when you tell the story of the time that you went to the wrong shower. You thought you were at one of your friend's showers, but ended up at some random person's house and at some random person's baby shower. I love the fact that you got up and took the present out of the pile and headed out the door. Oh Chels. I am laughing just thinking about you all confused and the look on your face must have been priceless when you realized. You need to tell me that story again.

I am glad you let me fix your hair last night. You make me laugh. I hope it turned out right. And we must get the girls together....Obliviously since London kept asking you were Tate was!

  6. This first is a totally recent memory, but will always be a favorite Mommy moment and Chelsea moment for me . . . our zoo play group. From leaving totally late, to stopping at Babinski's on the way up to purchase a couple small things (like my double stroller and your stroller accessory) to getting the stroller assembled in the store and carried out to my car, to just generally running around like lunatics and showing up to the get-together over an hour late and you having to wait in line forever with the slowest zoo employee of all time . . . basically everything was just fab and I loved hanging with you. Should we do a repeat tomorrow??? :) Really, though, you just make me smile and I love laughing with you and dishing with you and love that our husbands are the same person.

  7. I thought of another memory. I am going to say a couple words, and I want you to tell me if you remember this.

    Julie Jackson
    Wasatch Blvd
    Red Slurpee
    Jeep Wrangler
    Defying death

  8. Okay, I remember once our families ate dinner at the Jackson's, and after, you and I slept over with Julie and hung out with her hippie friends the next day. We were in the red jeep and whoever sat shotgun had to wear a helmet and we bought slurpees and were driving down Wasatch when Julie dropped hers and it splattered between the seats and she was trying to pick it up when she drove the wrangler over the island on Wasatch so we were going towards oncoming traffic and she started screaming and we flew back over the island and she just kept driving. I can't believe you don't remember that! And, yes, we were so very boy crazy!

  10. huh......where do i begin? how can i pick just one. i've had some really funny memories with you but i think my fondest ones are our hundreds of lunches and girls nights. those are priceless and i hope they continue for the rest of our lives. i also remember fondly our road trip to laguna beach and staying in that awesome beach house. we've been really spoiled!

i'll keep thinking because i know i can come up with a funny one too.

  11. Like everyone else I have been trying to come up with just one memory and can't. My most favorite moments are GNOs while the boys are watching games. I think the most memorable thing about you is your laugh. Your laugh makes me laugh. Every night with Chelsea is a giggly one...and I love that!

  12. There are so many memories...but the first one that popped into my head was one time when I came to babysit you and Brooke (funny, since I was only a couple years older than you!) and we were playing with your parrot and it "pooped" all over my head. Who talked me into putting him on my head anyway?
